Young African Leadership Initiative

Hey Y'ALI , I know I barely use blogger nowadays but am about to change that and here is the reason why. I am writing this post seated at the lounge in Foster Walker complex at Northwestern University.A year ago had you asked me if I thought I would be sitting here writing of this amazing experience I would have told you to get the hell out and let me be.

I got here about three weeks ago for president Obamas inaugural Washington fellowship or young African leaders. I was selected to participate in the business and entrepreneurship track. Being a creative I never thought for once I would be learning about business models and value propositions. It was for a very long time about the art. The rest were just compliment to what I love doing.

From the sight visits to the case studies and the community service I must I have grown so much as person and as a business owner. I had for a whole year struggled with figuring out a business model that works. A plan that will see my business grow. I a period of three weeks in the beautiful city of Evanston I have more than figured out what our core business is, I have gone one more to writing out my companies business model and knowing the little details that will see us prosper.

Enough with the classroom stuff, Evanston is so beautiful, I know everyone say America is but this is different it's not perfect but it's beautiful. The environment is one I would love to have my daughter and son study in as it provides for a great atmosphere and the community around just adds on the drive to have a beautiful future. The structures are very beautiful and the landscaping is just right.
